CRUCIFIXION AND LOVE - Ayodeji Oluwafemi Paul

"Some said "death should be received with pleasure as it is a relief to all life struggles, hurt, pains and so on.

But on the contrary did someone demonstrated love in death. This man didn't just die but he died the death of the cross (Crucified).

Am sure your thoughts now is that how can this be possible, since love   is Generally a sense of kindness, goodness, and gift giving.

This is so odd, you ask questions such as what has death gat to do with love, what kind of offense or crime would have led to crime would he lead to Crucifixion.

Firstly, what is crucifixion?
Crucifixion means to punish someone by nailing on the cross.

Crucifixion is a Latin word "crucifixio" meaning fixed to the cross, which is a Roman way of execution.
Crucifixion is the most painful and shameful method of punishing victims of capital crime.
Before crucifixion victims are been turtured, beaten, force to carry their cross to the crucifixion site.
This is the supreme penalty by the Romans.

Types of cross
1. Crux simplex
2. Crux Decussata
3. Crux Commissa
4. Crux Immissa

Our major focus is going to be on number four (Crux Immissa).
The.cruz Immissa is the up, side, down kind of cross. In the execution the victim's hands is being nailed horizontally and legs vertically resting on the support plank in order to prolong the suffering and a culture to give gall, vinegar and myrrh, while the offence is also the paste at the top of the cross.
This shows how horrible to die the death of the cross.

Relationship Between Jesus and the cross
Jesus Christ is known as the savior, Messiah, son of God whom God sent to the world to save man kind from the power of darkness into his marvelous light.
Jesus was sent to the Earth to restore man back to God.
So the question is how is this going to happen?

God's Redemption Plan
Note, God is not partial he wants to redeem all man kind irrespective of race, tribe dialet and on. Which means God put into consideration in quote "big and small" sins. And the great penalty for judgement over the greatest more horrible crime is the "CROSS".
THE CROSS: Jesus would have died using other means. But the point is the if Jesus had died using other means his death would have no effect on people such as "Barabas". Therefore since he's dying for the whole world and all kinds of sins, It has to be the hardest, most painful, most shameful, most horrible and so on.

The Relationship
The cross as stated earlier signify the place of horrible death.
The purpose of Jesus Christ on Earth is to restore all man kind back to God, which can also be doing through the shedding of blood. Not just the blood of any other person or animal but the blood of God himself for the remission of world.

Therefore, since the mission is for the world, it's means it must be demonstrated in like manner.
Therefore the cross signify the gravity of the sin Jesus was carrying.

The cross also serve as a platform for show the great sacrifice Jesus offered man kind. Now by he virtue of the Cross he became condemned, rejected, forsaken, etc in exchange for our own life.

The Love
In this we can see the extend at which Christ love man kind that he had to girl his life and face all the torment just for man to be restored back to God (Unconditionally).

All of the sacrifices shows how immeasurable the love of Christ is towards man kind. God gave all for man, who else would have done that for mankind.

"The love of Jesus Christ"
